Therapy Approach:

I use a strength based; person centered approach in a collaborative manner to assist my clients to see HOPE as they face challenges in life. I have worked as a counselor for over 20 years in a variety of settings. These include outpatient community mental health, crisis services, corporate/workplace settings, and owning and operating a private Christian counseling practice. I also have experience in training law enforcement on how to better assist individuals in a mental health crisis.  I work with my clients in a collaborative approach to allow them to leave each session seeing that they have been heard and validated and that there is HOPE in their journey. I encourage open and honest communication and emphasize that the client is the expert on themself.

My therapeutic approach is to meet clients where they are in life and provide support and counseling to help effectively address personal challenges. I also hold a bachelor’s degree from Ohio University in Exercise Science and aspire to educate people on how the use of exercise in the counseling process can positively impact mental health.
